Whether the Congress party should try to consolidate its organization first or priorities the issue of alliances is a very important question. It is not just a matter of debate within the party itself but is also very important for the common citizen.

If we discuss the organization, a strong organization implies a strong base for the party. When party workers are united and motivated, they can reach people, realize their issues, and raise their voices effectively. This enhances the credibility of the party and makes it more likely to win elections. Just like a house requires a strong foundation, a political organization also requires a strong foundation.

On the contrary, alliances are also crucial. In present politics, it is always challenging to do things independently. To present a united front with other parties can be supportive for any party. It gives a chance to increase the vote bank and present a wider ideology.

Hence, the correct balance is imperative. I think that Congress should develop both simultaneously but with priorities decided on the basis of short-run and long-run objectives. For example, in Bihar where organization is not very strong and elections are imminent, giving top priority to alliances would be a smart decision. Getting into alliance with RJD may enable Congress to win some seats and stay afloat. Yet, in states like Delhi, where its image is on the line, it needs to emphasize building the organization—even if its benefits do not immediately register.

In the long term, the alliances without an efficient organization would be no more than a crutch. If Congress wishes to make a national comeback by the year 2029, it needs to begin working at the grass-root level from now on. Building up the organization in the first place would strengthen its hand, whether it chooses to go ahead with alliances or fight elections independently.

कांग्रेस के सामने यह सवाल काफी महत्वपूर्ण है कि उसे पहले अपने संगठन को मजबूत करने पर ध्यान देना चाहिए या फिर गठबंधन को प्राथमिकता देनी चाहिए। यह एक ऐसा मुद्दा है जो न केवल पार्टी के भीतर चर्चा का विषय है, बल्कि आम लोगों के लिए भी बहुत मायने रखता है। अगर हम संगठन की बात करें, तो एक मजबूत संगठन का मतलब है कि पार्टी की नींव मजबूत हो। जब पार्टी के कार्यकर्ता एकजुट और प्रेरित होते हैं, तो वे लोगों के बीच जाकर उनकी समस्याओं को समझ सकते हैं और सही तरीके से उनकी आवाज उठा सकते हैं। इससे पार्टी की विश्वसनीयता बढ़ती है और चुनावों में भी सफलता की संभावना बढ़ जाती है। जैसे किसी घर की मजबूत नींव होनी चाहिए, वैसे ही राजनीतिक संगठन की भी।

दूसरी ओर, गठबंधन की बात करें, तो यह भी उतना ही महत्वपूर्ण है। आज के राजनीतिक परिदृश्य में, कई बार अकेले चलना मुश्किल होता है। विभिन्न पार्टियों के साथ मिलकर एक मजबूत मोर्चा बनाना किसी भी पार्टी के लिए फायदेमंद हो सकता है। इससे वोट बैंक को बढ़ाने का मौका मिलता है और व्यापक विचारधारा को सामने लाने का अवसर भी।

इसलिए, सही संतुलन बनाना बेहद जरूरी है। मेरे हिसाब से कांग्रेस को दोनों पर एक साथ काम करना चाहिए, लेकिन प्राथमिकता अल्पकालिक और दीर्घकालिक लक्ष्यों के आधार पर तय होनी चाहिए। अभी बिहार जैसे राज्य में, जहाँ संगठन कमजोर है और चुनाव नजदीक हैं, गठबंधन को प्राथमिकता देना समझदारी होगी। आरजेडी के साथ मिलकर कांग्रेस कुछ सीटें जीत सकती है और अपनी मौजूदगी बनाए रख सकती है। लेकिन साथ ही, दिल्ली जैसे महत्वपूर्ण राज्य में, जहाँ उसकी साख दाँव पर है, संगठन को मजबूत करने पर जोर देना चाहिए—भले ही इसका फायदा तुरंत न दिखे। 
लंबे समय में, संगठन के बिना गठबंधन केवल बैसाखी का काम करेगा। अगर कांग्रेस 2029 तक राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर वापसी करना चाहती है, तो उसे अभी से जमीनी स्तर पर काम शुरू करना होगा। इसलिए, अगर कांग्रेस अपने संगठन को पहले मजबूत करती है, तो इससे उसकी स्थिति और भी बेहतर होगी, चाहे वह गठबंधन की दिशा में आगे बढ़ने का फैसला करे या अकेले चुनावी मैदान में उतरे।
