Police have arrested a woman and her lover for plotting and killing her husband, Vinod Barada, in Haryana's Panipat in 2021. Vinod was hit by a Punjab-registered vehicle and survived, but both legs were fractured. Two months later, he was shot dead at his house. The couple conspired to kill Vinod, with his wife Nidhi and her lover Sumit. Dev Sunar, a driver, was arrested after the accident. Sumit, who had become friends with Vinod, confessed to plotting the murder. Dev Sunar was provided with a Punjab-registered truck and was bailed out from jail. He was then sent to Vinod's house to shoot him. Both Nidhi and Sumit were presented in court and sent to judicial custody.
